Life After Breath
By: Patrick Norager
The Timeless Self
Few modern societies' psyches are harmoniously structured
with
the Earth and Universe which only increases the emotional
trauma
on the individual evolving from
embodied to disembodied awareness.
The Shamen of Old Mexico believed that those who could
face their time of transition without fear were bestowed
with the gift of continued awareness from one dimension
of existence to the next like a cosmic graduation.
A fear of death is as irrational
as being within
your mother's womb and fearing
your birth.
Many institutions directly profit
from this fear.
Perhaps the human body is a chrysalis
for the still evolving
spiritual butterfly that lies
subatomically written into our DNA?
Let us hope that in our species
lust to live forever as we are,
that we do not remove ourselves
from an evolution and
cosmic purpose that exists just
beyond our fears.
